stampotique challenge time

his week, over at the stampotique challengegez has asked us to create something that is clean and simple.

i used my rubber stamp, flying heart and the sentiment, when heart speaks , to create this clean and simple card out of watercolor paper.   first, i spritzed a heart stencil with dylusions yellow and did a reverse image on the background.  i used the same dylusions yellow and pink to spritz on another piece of watercolor paper and when it dried i stamped my heart rubber stamp and cut it out.  next,
i stamped the sentiment towards the bottom and used pop dots to place the heart image above it.

a really "cool" mail day

it was a fabulous mail day today.  i received a package from my dear art friend, melinda.  she is so talented and i love she can make things from recycling.  she's a girl after my own heart, but much more talented than i am.  i won a give away on her blog and this is what i got.  you can see more photos that melinda took on her blog.  it's worth taking a peek, because even the packaging was awesome.
she did a replica of a piece of my art that i had done for stampotique.  i love that she used one of my pieces of art that had my rubber stamp design on it.  it's so special and meaningful to me, not just because it's my stamp design, but because i care so much about melinda and i can feel the love in every stitch.  i will treasure it.  thanks melinda!

stampotique challenge time

this week at the stampotiqe challenge, sam has asked us to recycle something.  i took an unused bill envelope and altered it.
i painted it with acrylic paints.  i glued a magazine photo into the inside of the envelope after i altered it slightly.  to make the address label i used my rubber stamp steampunk border and colored it in with gel pens and paint markers.
the sentiment just be u is one of my rubber stamps.  i altered that with gel pens and paint pens, too.  i used the rubber stamp seaweed  as well.
